Rear suspension wheel alignment

Asked by Jan 23, 2010 at 06:01 PM about the 1999 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 99 beetle.  Rear tires worn to the belts on the inside of both tires.  Don't see any damage.  What is
the best way to check the alignment and possible fixes.  Doesn't appear to be any adjustments to correct this.

The car has probably been lowered. Get any wheel alignments done by a tyre shop or mechanical workshop which has an electronic wheel alignment machine, as it is extremely difficult to accurately measure wheel alignment at home.
