i have a 2000 vw passat v6. where is the transmission dipstick
dipstick does not exist on your car .The fluid level must be checked with the car running ,scan tool hooked up measuring trans temperature, and a large plug with a standpipe inside of it is removed.if the fluid level is correct at the proper trans temp,it should just drip out of the stand pipe.to add fluid it needs to be put on through the standpipe hole. This requires a rig designed to do this particular task.bought or homemade and you must use VW specific trans oil.still want to check it?
Oh I forgot to mention this plug is on the tranny oil pan 12 or14 mm Allen bit if my memory serves me.
