Could you tell me if the clutch pedal
is very low to the floor and struggling
to go into gear is it the clutch slave
cylinder or master cylinder thanks
mark it's a 2 ltr petrol vw beetle

Hard to say. Refill and bleed the clutch system first; that may be all it needs.
