Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a 2005 Golf Gti with a lot of shaking after 60mph. Comes from the
front for sure but cant tell where. I replaced every part of the steering
system and brakes as well about 6 months ago. Im thinking it may be
the CV axle? help

Can be a bad tire with a broken steel belt, or as you suggest, a bad CV. Usually CV axles make noise when bad, like popping. A vibration that starts and ends at a certain speed is almost always a single bad tire. I had a bad tire that started shaking at exactly 55 MPH. 52 MPH it was just fine. Cross that magic barrier at 55 and there was the shaking. 55 to 60 MPH is also the most common speed at which a bad tire will start to shake (Google it!). Take it to a tire shop for a spin balance, they'll get you sorted.
