on a code reader it may show a lot of trim at a component trying to make up for a failed part on the engine, like an intake gasket sucking air, the control unit will command the injectors to compensate to balance the mixture correctly and the trim will be long on the scope,, scanner.

The OP could also mean the option trim levels on the '99 Saturns. They were the SC-1 and SC-2, for the coupe, Sedans,SL-1 and SL-2. & SW-1 and SW-2 for the wagons. The (2) received more HP and other options.
