Why does my speedometer not work

just replaced one of those on my 91 chevy lumina 3.1 . a real bugger to get to. had to jack up the car and remove the passenger side wheel to get my fat arms in there to get at it. tough, but not impossible.

1995 Oldsmobile 98 speed sensor put new speed sensor in it and still speedometer won't work and will not change gears
