The driver side window on my 2006 Galant will not function. Well, it will roll up/down slightly if I bang on the door panel. Do I need a whole new window lift kit or just replace the window motor?

The choice is yours, however you might find it cheaper and eaiser to replace the whole unit.

Cheaper and easier are two of my favorite words! Thanks tennisshoes!

If you can remove the motor with relative ease, it is likely the problem and cheap (less than $50) if you do it yourself. Look around the internet for helpful instructions. If the mounting is such that the whole unit is a better choice, than go with that.
