fuel injector fuse keeps blowing

Asked by Sep 30, 2010 at 08:57 PM about the 1995 Mazda MX-3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

why does the fuel injector fuse keep poping wen the key is turned to on on the ignition?

Your injectors are just like the sprayer on a garden hose. 2 functions - on and off solenoid, or the fuel pump. Disconnect the connector to each of the 2 fuel injector lines. Turn the car on - but don't crank. If the fuse blows again, prob the fuel pump is seized. Or you have a short somewhere.
