How can I open carhood if latch is still in tact but NOT releading/responding to opening hood?

a 29 1/2" mechanic's pry bar is what we used at the shop...still have it kickin' around...very useful tool...look under near the front under the bumper...at the mechanism...insert the prybar and twist to release the mechanism~

if there is any cable left...one vice grips to hold the sheath...one to grab the cable and PULL against one another...buy an new receptacle/braket then...possibly with a new cable as well~ this is not a RARE problem with these cars~
