Crazy Gas Gauge
The gas gauge in my 2001 GMC Sierra has started to go a bit crazy. It bounces all over the place when I get below a 1/4 tank. I
replaced the fuel pump at several hundred dollars. Any other ideas?
the float in the tank could be bad (fuel sending unit) sometimes they stick very common issue you would have to drop the tank and remove the screws and disconnect the sensor and pull out the old one and then replace with new not used. Other wise you could come across the problem again
I replaced the whole fuel pump assembly less than 8 months ago to the tune of $800. I really do not want to do that again but it ony seems to be getting worst.
This is a very common problem with these trucks and the Yukons as we!!!! I don't think it should have cost $800 to fix???? What all did they do?
