The a/c compressor is locked up. It will burn the belt off. You need to replace the a/c compressor or ask the parts store if they sell a belt for your truck without a/c.

Unplug the A/C compressor. It won't hurt anything. This way the clutch will just freewheel as if the A/C were turned off. HTH. -Jim

Clutch will not freewill if it was engaged. Remeber the a/c cycles when the defrost is on.

Not if its unplugged it won't engage. The clutch is electromagnetic. When current is applied a magnetic field is created causing the clutch to engage. If the clutch is stuck then a few taps with a hammer should free it. - Jim

If your lucky. I have seen them glowing and disconnected where you could take a sledgehammer and not disengage. Literally welded together. I agree with you on the set up but I also know from experience that if they have ran very long plugged up and engaged they will weld themselves together.
