1999 Cobra gas tank overflows/spills gas

Asked by May 15, 2012 at 10:24 AM about the 1999 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra

Question type: General

Hi Folks,
Gasoline bubbles up and overflows when I'm filling my tank.  There is no warning bubbling sound as with other cars.  Is this a common Mustang/Cobra trait?  How can I fix this?  I was told before I bought it that the gas tank vent was replaced because the previous owner had the same problem  It apparently did not fix the problem.
Thanks,
Jim

Not a common Mustang/Cobra issue. Check the vent and filler neck again.
