Ok, so my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 keeps shutting off on me as soon as I crank it and the only way to keep it running is for me to put it in drive while im pressing the gas and it still cuts off sometimes. What should I do ?

I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2l. I turned it on and shuts right off. I can only keep it running while hitting the gas pedal. Sometimes it's cranking really slow then cranks normal. What can it be? 3 Answers

my 1996 dodge ram 1500 sometimes slips when starting off and then shifts hard, like a jolt. i can feel it also when i slow down the tranny downshifting slow, like its trying to catch up with the truck. im changing the filter and if i knew how to adjust the bands i would do that also. any thoughts? 5 Answers
