Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a seized caliper how do I unseize it?

Is it stuck on the rotor? Use a big C-clamp. If you have it removed and it's seized up it may need to be rebuilt. They make honing tools for the caliper piston.

Or, just replace it with a rebuilt one from your local auto parts store. If it's stuck on the rotor, remove the caliper and rotor together. Then beat the caliper off with a hammer to turn it in for the core charge. HTH. -Jim
