After truck is off the battery still sending power to the break lights and stereo
Truck runs great but when i shut it off i have to remove the terminal or the break lights
continue tostay on. First thout was the ignition switch but i replaced both the switch
and cylinder. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?
The two systems should have separate circuits, unless it is an aftermarket radio then it could be wired wrong. Unplug the brake light switch and see if the brake lights and the radio shut off, if they do then you have a bad brake light switch and the radio is wired wrong, if the brake lights go off but the radio stays on then the radio is wired to a main power circuit not an ignition circuit.
Its not only the radio. Everything in the cab is on. I disconnected the break lights and thats all thats off
So either you have the new switch adjusted wrong or there is a cross- circuit to power in the rigs wiring harness.
Thanks for the help. Im sure i will Have to take it to a shop. Im not to sure on how to fix that myself .
