99 Dodge Ram 2500 v10 won't shift high altitude
i have a 99 dodge ram 2500 everytime i go up the mountain or high altitude
like woodland park here in colorado i turn my truck off than back on it wont
shift so im stuck going 25-30mph until i get to colorado springs or denver turn
it off and back on again and it works fine again this only happens in high
altitude i have looked everywhere for a solution but got nothing has anyone
had this problem? and how to fix it. I already tried map sensor believe it was a
duralast from autozone maybe it needs to be a mopar?
A live data scan is going to be the only way to find this problem, you will have to be at the altitude where it happens to have it done, I suspect something in the TCM but that will have to be verified. Something you can check is the vent on the top side of the transmission, make sure some mud dauber didn't decide to fill the thing with mud.
