Okay, the battery has to be NEWer than five years old....after you get a new battery and clean the connection to the frame too....it should start...if not...we can start checking things like spark and fuel pressure~...okay...get back once you've a new battery and other end connection to the frame ready to pull 300 amps through it~

okay, the brake has been pressed a couple of times....the vacuum in the brake booster has been depleted until the engine idles....givin' the hard brake pedal...say. nice duds, are you in Santa Barbara?

....classic undervoltage condition...apparently you have NOT attempted to charge up this ole battery...might take a charge at that but reliability will be GONE because this is a tin/antimony alloy battery....NOT lead anymore~...so stops accepting a charge ten percent per year....after five years has depleted half it's potential for getting charged up again~ you do wear a set of overalls when working on your truck? no?~

You should not need to push the brake pedal down to start it. Only to get it out of park once it is started. If you can't turn the key, are the wheels turned in one direction?
