2004 Dodge Ram 5.7 liter SLt
My truck has always started but it cranks way
longer than it should when the key is turned and
always starts rich this caused carbon build up in the
motor which has been cleaned but it still starts
Leaking fuel injectors based on what you stated about initial start up, running a fuel pressure leak down test can confirm this. You might want to run a can of SeaFoam through the fuel system just too see if it helps clean the injectors or have them professionally cleaned, might be cheaper than having to replace all the injectors.
When was last time you had a tuneup done ? Maybe fouled plugs
