Pinion nut came off in rear end now has a bad viberation only when leting

How does a pinion nut come off? There is a torque speck for this nut,.. I'd have to look it up. May want to check the u-joint also or just replace it.

Thinking about this more, you may have damage to the pinion bearing. The rear ends in vehicles are precisely set up. It would be worth wild to have some one inspect it who knows how a rear end is set up.

Rowfast is right, if your pinion nut came off the pinion settings are all wrong now and continued driving will damage the ring and pinion gears plus all of the bearings turning a relatively inexpensive repair into an expensive rear end overhaul. Don't wait, have it checked out now. HTH
