I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 and the passenger side window control does not run the window up or down.

Asked by Jun 01, 2013 at 10:38 PM about the 2004 Dodge Ram 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The driver's control for the passenger window does raise and lower the window, but for some reason the passenger switch is not working.  I tried replacing the passenger switch and that did not solve the problem either.  Any idea what I can do to get it working on the passenger door?

Check voltage on the passenger switch wiring, sounds like you have a broken wire or two.

This must be a problem with the dodges,my 2002 ram 1500 does the same thing and a guy with a 2005 2500 doesn't work either. Its my go to work pickup so not a big deal, only when the wife is in the passenger seat. Haven't tried fixing it.

The most common area is in the tube from body to door, wiring is under stress every time the door is opened and closed.
