06 dodge ram has power but will not start. What could be the problem?

When I start it radio goes on but it won't start.

If you don't have a code reader you will never find it...Too many things now,not like the old days. you can buy one for around 20-50 bucks or get it to the local parts store and they can check it...they will be glad to since they want to sell parts..

Have you tried to Clean and tighten the battery cables? Have you checked the voltage on the battery? All because the radio comes on does not necessarily mean that you have enough power to crank the truck.

I am cleaning it again. Then if that does not work I will take it to get tested. Thanks!

Ok. Just had to put a new battery in my 2007 quad cab. It was doing the same as yours. Hope you get as lucky as I did and it's only a battery issue.

Change the starter, I had the exact same issue and it turns out the factory starters are garbage, I bought a Mopar and my truck starts in -40 below weather like a champ now!!!
