How can I manually open the driver side sliding door with a broken latch?

Asked by Oct 28, 2016 at 05:17 PM about the 2002 Chrysler Town & Country

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Driver side sliding door will not open. Latch reacts the same regardless of lock position. Inside or outside handle will not open. All cables are intact. Have removed inside door panel and was looking for way to release latch from inside door. Confident that latch is defective but can not figure out how to release latch so door can be opened and latch can be removed and replaced with new.
