has there been a recall on the motherboard ( computer ) for this car
I have bought a new switch, motor, and I have been told that it is the
motherboard and that part is $900.
Nope. Only one re-call for a glass/visibility issue - http://www.dealerrater.com/recalls/Chrysler/PT-Cruiser/#2006
Shari- no matter how you spin this, the Chrysler PT Cruiser is one of the worst cars for repairs and Chrysler has consistently been low rated . See this attachment, and overall the 2006 had the most problems. If I were you, I would definitely recommend getting rid of this car and looking at a Toyota, Subaru or Honda.
Name one Chrysler model that has been continously made and marketed for the last 20 years? The Honda Accord for example has been on the market since the late 70s. TOYOTA COROLLA HAS BEEN AROUND EVEN LONGER. And , the Subaru Outback has been sold since 1995. Do you see where I'm going here?
Chrysler Town and Country - 1990 – present
Don't get me wrong. Mark, I am not big on Chrysler products, now owned by Fiat but HQ'd in London GB not Italy. But you asked. We do get a disproportionate number of question in Chrysler/Dodge problems
