Put a timing belt in a 2006 pt a week later a fuel pump thats at 142,000 miles now check engine light keeps coming on and mpg has dropped from 25 to 18pg
I would start by checking your timing marks all line up correctly, it sounds like you are a tooth out.
Yep, sounds like the timing belt is off the mark.
check your maf and all the connections between the air box and intake manifold, I had a screw come out after doing my plugs and timing belt and after about 2 weeks I was getting 18mpg and then the check engine with a vacum leaks code. Tightened it down and added some thread lock. Good luck
