Ok so I have a 93 Ford F-150 and the other day I was leaving from school and it wouldn't start so I called my brother and he came by and jumped me off but when I started the truck it ran for like 5 seconds the shut off by its self. It did this ab three time before it finally stayed runing so I drove it home hooked up the battery charger and charged the battery over night then I went out side the next day to start it and it did the same thing to me again so I took it to the shop at school and he said if could be the voltage regulator but he's not all the way sure ab it does anyone else know what is going on

Load test battery first if it's good then check your charging system if you have external regulator you can bypass it to see if generator is making voltage... But I think you have a alternator on your truck if so replace alternator it has built-in regulator in it
