power drain 1996 ford f150 302engine from 50amp diode

A diode only lets current to run in one direction. When they go bad then current can be drawn back threw that circuit. Replace the diode.


The diode can be tested with an ohm meter. It should have continuity in one direction, but not the other. It will need to be removed from the circuit to be tested.
