I have a 97 ford f150 turned it off a went out a couple hours later and it makes one click and nothing
Truck was running fine when I turned it off.
Went out a couple hours later and makes on
click and nothing.Battery cables are clean.
Replaced starter cylanoid. Still one click
and nothing. What to do next?
Have the battery checked for full charge.
Still could be a bad cable, you may have to do a voltage drop test on all of the cables, and remember there is another solenoid on the starter itself. see pic.
Sounds like winter woes and a battery which does not have enough cold cranking amps to do the job. Have a load test performed on the battery at a place like autozone, it's free.
After u verify battery is good, try starting starter dircectly at the starter by momentary jumping between small terminal and battery wire at starter to see if still a starter issue or signal coming into starter
