Hello. I have a 1998 Ford F150. It is a 4.6 Liter Triton V8. It has lots of trouble when trying to start.
If I leave the truck off for over an hour or more, it will startup just fine, but lets say after I do that (start it), then go to the store that's 5 minutes away, turn the car off, then 15 or 20 minutes later when I am trying to start it up again, it never will. It s so inconvenient and annoying. I cannot figure out what it is! Please help!
Try placing it in neutral when having problems to see if if starts.
Mine does the same thing. I have to let it set there for an hour or so and then it will start and run fine again but never goes more than 5- 6 miles before it dies again. I've replaced fuel filter and pump. I've drained the tank and filled it back up with new gas and a can of seafoam. It won't start in neutral either. I'm at a loss of what it could be. Could it be the ECM?
Could be the fuel pump relay also.
try replacing solonoids
