Is there a seperate piece of brake line that can still be installed with the brakes on a 99f150
yeah you can cut and flare a section in,but check the rest of line for corrosion
Brakeline is available from any autoparts store. It comes in different diameters and lengths ranging anywhere from 12 inch to 6 feet long. The parts store should be able to look up what size(diameter) that you need for your truck. If you line is broken from being rusty, then it is recommended to change all of the line so it doesn't leak anywhere else. Also be careful as the fuel lines usually run alongside the brakelines along the frome and electrolysis can cause the brake and fuel lines to rust together so you might end up replacing fuel lines as well which are also available at the parts store. The line is cheap but the labor is the hard part. I've used compression fittings for years when I replace brake lines though it is recommended to double flare the ends and used a double flare fitting but I've never had any leaks or trouble using the compression fittings and it's must easier and cheaper as you would have to buy a double flare tool and they aren't cheap.
