Battery light is on in fordf150 2002 model.

I took the alternator off and checked it at auto store, said was good. Took
battery and it was dead but they charged it then checked it and said it was
good. Why is battery light on?

Ur alternator is not charging. Take the vehicle in to autoparts store, they will check ur charging system while vehicle ir running for free. U might have a bad connection or broken wire
