Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a ford f150. The radiator was mixing
cooland in with the transmission. When I found out
I emptyed it amd took the fillter off and the pan
back on to accumulate the rest. My real question is
should I put the old filter back on and fill it with nes
transmission fluid so it doesnt rust or keep ot
emptyed. I wont be able to get the new radior with
the cold and hot intake hose till about 2.5 weeks.
Then Im gonna change out the radiator and hose
along with flushing both and changing the oil. Then
put on a new filter and refill it. But Do I keep ot
empy till then or not. What do I do????

Im changing out the radiator, hot and cold radiator hose, oil, oil filter, transmission gasket and filter along with flushing rafiator and transmission. Is that everything ur talking about? My question was untill I buy everything to do it all in about 2.5 weeks. Should I put new tranny fluid in to keep it from rusting? Or leave it empty?
