boot latch

Asked by May 17, 2008 at 11:44 AM about the 1995 BMW M3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My M3's boot latch mechanism will not engage on the pin. I have lubricated it and it engages into the closed position with the assistance of a screwdriver, is there something simple I am missing? Thanks

Sounds like perhaps it is bent?
