Asked by sallys Oct 28, 2007 at 12:09 PM about the 1988 Honda Civic

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dad owns a Honda Civic Sedan 1988 model and has been trying to take the back seat/s out to put covers on them, but he is finding it very difficult.  Does anyone have any instructions how to do this please.

To get the bottom half of the back seats out, get about halfway in front of it, then knee into it to release the seat from its locking tabs. This may take a bit of effort. Then to get the upper half off, you will probably need to remove the seatbelts from the bottom of them, and pull up after the bolts for the seatbelts have been removed.
