Is there a way to fix the front seats that they will stay in an upright position.

When you are driving the back of the seat will let go so you are in a reclineing position.

Sounds like the locking mechanism on your seat is worn out and just lets go. I suggest checking it and see if you can file it a bit to just get a clean edge again or clean it with some WD40. if it doesn't work that way, Maybe a trip to the scrap yard may be needed and yank out a similar seat. You may also check out your local automotive upholstery shop and ask them if they have any suggestion on how to fix it.
