step by step instructions on how to replace the neutral safety switch on my 69 t bird?
This is my first/last project car to keep forever. Learning as I need to. 429, non tilt wheel, auto on the wheel. Starts when I hold the gear shift just right but doesnt stay running. Next step. Fuel pump, maybe
Thats a fairly simple procedure. Make sure the car is in Park. It would also help to disconnect the battery first too. Look under the steering column about halfway down or so you will see a black (could also be an off-white color) shaped 1/4 round or similar to a half-moon shape. It is bolted or screwed to the column and will have an electrical plug(connector) and a couple wires going to it. Just unplug the connector, unscrew the screws that hold it in place(making sure of the way it is mounted and the way the button that sticks out of it is touching the slot on the column. and drop the old switch down and out, reverse procedures to install new one. hook up your battery and you should be good to go. Good Luck, Kenny.
