so i picked up a 66 ford thunderbird for 50 dollars and now am working on
restoration i am having a very hard time finding a hood i would like to find
an original factory fit but will do aftermarket if i have to ive done many
restorations on some older cars but this is the biggest project i have picked
so far i am also thinking air ride suspension but have never done such a
thing before so any help would be greatly appreciated and also any other
common problems tat i should be aware of? thank you.
My Advice would be to call around a lot of Junk Yards an see if they might have one. I know a junk yard in Ohio that just might have the original hood for that vehicle. There's several here in Eastern Kentucky. It's always good to restore old vehicles to keep them alive. I have a 55 Chevy dulley I'm restoring! Good luck with the Restore.
i live in new york so the junk yards up here are just what the name says JUNK just a bunch of rusty cars sitting frame deep in mud but i guess i can check some southern salvage yards thank you for the response
T_Bird262, Google some junk yards in Kentucky, Ohio an West Virginia! You will find a hood for your T-Bird!
Call Jim in NC. He has several parts cars. Might be worth a ride to his place for other parts as well. His number is (336) 784-9363
