Asked by Larry Jul 10, 2011 at 12:09 PM about the 1965 Ford Thunderbird

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My A/C is out.  The clutch is froze and I don't know about the compressor.  It is the original unit.  (The car is totally original)  I don't know if I should convert to 134 or try to keep it R12.  Will i need to replace much?  How original can I keep it looking. (cast iron compressor, etc)  About what should it cost for the conversion?  Any suggestions and advice is appreciated.
