1964 t bird option
I have a 1964 T-Bird and it has a double floor button on the drivers side. I know one is for the high beams but I cannot figure out what the other is for and I have not seen this option on any other bird . Do you know what it is for?
Not sure But it could be to change radio stations. Chrysler had that.
Never heard of it. Go to: http://automotivemileposts.com/tbird1964optionalequipment.html that shows all of the equipment that could have been on a 64. You might trace it down it is possible that someone had some driving light on it and that was the way they turn them on and off. Just a thought.
Cadillac also had this feature. It was to change the radio stations without having to take your hands off the wheel or eyes off the road. HTH. -Jim
Thank you very much Jim and others. I've been asking for years. It must have been a pretty rare option.Like I said I have not seen it on any other car. Now I just have to figure out how get it to work. Stay tuned I am sure I'll be asking about that soon.
You're welcome. Glad to help. -Jim

i had a 76 cougar with 2 switches on was for high beams the other was a kill switch
My 57 Chrysler 300C had a floor button to control the radio search feature.
