where can i find a manual that gives the placement of all stickers and pencil marks as manufactured?
ccryder, I realise this isn't the answer you were hoping for, but it's the best (most correct) answer I think you'll find from anyone. No such book exists. There would be an extreme amount of research required to compile all the info to do that, and the end result would be FAR from accurate.....at least accurate enough to present that information in a "One size fits all" book. Many of the markings, stickers, and paint bloches are assembely plant specific. They are also specific to the date of manufacture and even the shift (on that date) of manufacture. Some markings are there to represent a "Change" of something as per a Technical Service instruction issued by Ford on a sepcific date. Some stickers appear in differant places in an engine compartment from plant to plant....etc. Even what would be considered "Typical" isn't always that way, there are WAY to many factors (human factors) involved....If an Assy. Line workers pen runs out of ink, the show goes on, there may be 50 cars go down a line that DON'T get marked the way they should have been. On the bright side... I'm a member of two car clubs (international clubs). With a pool of resourses that large it's possible to join forces with other members and share information. There are alot of things that ARE in some way "Typical" as far as factory markings are concerned. The closest you can hope for is to find someone who owns a car with a consecutive unit # close to yours (built at the same plant)....and start comparing notes from there. Maybe this info will point you in the direction you want to go ? Riff.
This would be just about impossable to find.Ill send you to a site that may be of some help, google SCCoA,is a T-Bird site, some their may be able to help you on some info.
