how to remove speaker & grill on 1955 thunderbird

From looking at pictures it appears that you'll have to remove it from the underside of the dash. There's probably 4 nuts that secure the speaker and grille assembly to the dash. Don't try to pop it off like you would a newer car. HTH. -Jim

On a 1963 the speaker c8ver has two nuts at the front that you get zt through the radio entrance it then pulls forward and out
