Stationwagon for sale
I have a 1989 Crown Victoria Stationwagon that I want to sell. It has 73,000 miles on it. The vehicle has been garaged since I bought it new, Outside of the vehicle is excellent. The inside has some wear on the carpet. I still am in possession off the original am/fm radio but I have a cd player installed. All other equipment is in working order.
Can anyone give me some tips on how to sell this car and it's approximate value? I want to sell it to someone who is interested in keeping it as a classic. I'm not going to sell it to anyone who is just looking for some transportation.
Right, if you sold it someone for basic transportation it would be worth $1300. To a collector, high retail might be around $5000. I know it's your baby and you took care of it, but that fact is your need to find that one special person who loves station wagons. Sorry, but 1989 Country squires are not in high demand right now. There is one ebay right now for $6750, but will they sell it is the question. I'd like you to get a fair price for it, so try listing it in your local autotrader, ebaymotors or try this site......http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/....... Good Luck!
Tom, thanks for taking the time to reply. I had not idea of what to ask for the vehicle. I'll do a little more checking around and then I'll try putting something out on our local autotrader like you suggested. It's still a great running vehicle, so if I don't find the right buyer, I'll just keep it. I'm in no rush. George
George. If it's in as good of shape as you say it is, It's probably worth anywhere from $2900.00 to $4500.00 I belong to a few different station wagon groups and if it were advertised there, you'de be sure that a station wagon person would be buying it. Try these different groups, you'll have to join to advertise but it's FREE to join. I run the first one listed. Good luck, Kenny. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fordcountrysquirefanclub/ http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/stationwagon/ http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/FordCrownVic/ http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/BlueOvalFans/

Mr. Blue, thanks for the information on pricing and also for the message groups. I'll definitely get a posting over there in the next few days. George
Tom, the vehicle is tan with the "wood" trim. I'm located in Richardson (Dallas County) Texas. George
