i have a 1989 ford ranger 2.3L engine and manual 5 speed trans. my truck will not idle as long as the alternator is plugged in but idles and runs fine with it unplugged
i have replaced the alternator, the voltage regulator connecter plug, the battery, the cylanoid, the crank sensor, put a new timing kit on it, and replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter but my truck still will not run or idle as long as the voltage regulator plug is connected to the alternator. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be????
I would say either there is a short somewhere or the new alternator could possibly be bad, which is unlikely but not unheard of or impossible.
i have a 1989 ford ranger xlt i want to know about the transmissions in the rangers because i have a transmission that i recently brought but it only has two sensors on it and my other one had three on the transmission will the new transmission sill work in my truck even though its only two sensors?
