I have a 1986 Ford Ranger with a 2.3 streight 4. I want to swap in a 4.0 v6. I do not have the time, the skill or the money to swap in a 5.0 v8. What all will it take to put a 4.0 v6 into my truck.
What do i need from a donor viechle
Where is a cheap place to get the motor,
I have an a4ld so the transmission is not a problem,

And any suggestions on the swap in gerneal. Again  I will not consider swaping in a v8, i love v8's, i have a v8 in a trans am, my i just want more power, and I hate my 4 cylinder (long long story). I also do not want to put another 4 in it.

Try some of the Ford Ranger forums, they will have step by step directions.

Your best bet is to try The Ranger Station , they have all the info for swaps , the web site is easy to type in www.therangerstation.com
