wont fire

I was driving and truck suddenly cut off with no sputtering or warning. Now engine will turn
over but wont fire.85 ford ranger auto 4 cyl.fuel injected.

Hello, Of that year, the TFI (Thick Film Integrated) module on the side of the distributor and the trigger coil inside the distributor are usually the culprits. If you indeed find this to be the problem, I always replace these together....The TFI will fail first, and then the coil, from Heat, age, time. Good Luck, AskTrannyMan
