88 f250 460 gets to idle temp then shuts down like runs out of gas pain to restart unless i let it cool down still a pain but not that bad.
replaced map sensor, no difference did pressure check takes it about 15 min
or so to build up to 30 psi then it stays there, give it gas pressure drops to 0
then shuts down replaced regulator no difference
Sounds like a bad fuel pump. Fuel pressure should not drop when revving the engine up, fuel pressure should hold at normal pressure.
Have a 88 250 hd. I replaced my stock oil pressure gage with a true auto meter gage. I run 5 lbs at idle. 30 lbs at tearing it up. That's all you need. The higher the oil pressure takes away horse power. I agree with rowefast. Fuel system should maintain 15 lbs pressure always.
