My f250 lost power to the fuel pump so I ran a hot wire to it. It works. But my truck will not start. It will if I spray starter fluid in it

If fuel pump is good, and pumping fuel, check the fuel pressure regulator.

Hello, The ECM turns on the Fuel pump relay with Key activation. Get the fuel pump working, (most common is the relay), and see what's next...ECM needs signal from oil pressure sending unit to turn on after start to> RUN. ECM needs signal from Ignition circuit to even start the sequence during crank. Dirt is the enemy on the connectors around the tank/fuel pump/sender area. Causes opens, and shorts. Hope this Helps
