Does your distributor have a plastic gear or a brass gear?

is it the gear off the end of the shaft? if it its something is eather wrong with the gears you are buying or the gear on the cam shaft is messed up. best bet is to try another brand of gear or just replace the hole distributor. the shaft on the end of it could also be bent causing it to bust of the teeth.
