Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I haven't a clue but I'm a fast learner I
really just need a man that knows what
he's talking about at this point. LOL I
was able to buy back my father's 74 F-
250-1 back after he passed.  I know the
engine was bored out to either a 275 or
a 300. Less than 1000 miles the tranny
went out And it just got parked. It's set
now about 15 years. The guy who
bought it said it will run w/gas poured
in the carb until it runs out of gas. I
have a couple ppl looking for a tranny if
I choose to try and rebuilt her. BUT I
don't know how to tell what kind is
tranny is in it. I tried to figure it out with
your website but I'm even more
confused now. Can anyone help me?
Or do I just need to sell off the parts,
keep the frame and body, and make a
flower bed in the back of it??
