startes up fine run or drive 15-20 min turn off and it wont turn over batt good alt goodlet set for 30 min and starts right up
f-150 1989- 5.0
can any one help me?
I have had that problem on more than 1 vehicle....check the routing of the power line to the starter and proximity to exhaust..when the wire gets hot the resistance goes up...will not conduct enough juice to turn over until the wire cools off. God luck buddy.
It could be the starter itself, I had that happen on more than one vehicle.
possable bad starter,or crank sencor is going bad.when hot and wont start theses are the 2 main problems of no crank.
could be the started but also could be one of the fuel pumps, a coolant temp sensor, thermostat, cam sensor, number of things its hard sayin withot bein able to look at it ive had my fair share of those trucks and normally its either the fuel pumps or the thermostat or coolant tempsensor
not trying to miss judge your responce, but none of the above would cause this problem, also have the timeing checked it may be out of time .
