shutting off problem
I have a 1988 ford F-150 and lately I'll be driving it
and ad soon as I come to a complete stop it dies
on me and I have to wait 20-30 minutes before
being able to start it back up but I learned today if I
keep the brake pressed with the gas it will stay on
but its faulty like it wants to shut off please help
me I don't want to get rid of this truck its a classic
Have you replaced the fuel filter, all so may not hurt to check for vacume leaks, and tune up.
Vintage vehicles are worth spending a few $ if you like it and the body's sound.. Greener than building a new piece of junk too. The EEC (computer can store info( give codes so scan it) The Engine sensors and ignition system should be gone through by someone who can understand them KINDA rare today! also the same is true for the fuel injection system after that expect the f150 to run sweet again. Don't get rid of IT.
